CROSSWATER_FIRST LOCAL PARTICIPATORY WORKSHOP IN MONTENEGRO
Overview

The First Local Participatory Workshop in Montenegro was held on june 14th and dedicated to the pilot project “Monitoring, control and protection of the regional water supply source ‘Bolje sestre’”. It is being implemented as part of the Interreg IPA CBC programme. 

Hereby, participants were informed about completion of the first project activity which is related to establishment of rainfall and GW monitoring network, resulted in development of plan and draft technical specifications. Additionally, the participants were informed about the two upcoming project activities: establishment of II sanitary protection zone, which is going to result in map with delineated zones I, II and III and programme of protection measures; and techno-economic study for expanding water capture capacity, which is going to result in development of hydrogeological map, supplementary source data, feasibility studies.

The Local Participatory Workshop was attended by Executive Director, Mr Goran Jevric and Technical Director, Mr Ivan Špadijer. It was also attended by Minister of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urban  Development - Mr Ratko Mitrovic, and representative of the consultant from E3 Consulting - water expert  -  Mr Goran Radonjic, Water Directorate of Montenegro, and other relevant Montenegrin institutions and water consultants and expert.
