An efficient and effective water management system, through the joint development of new infrastructures and technologies, as well as new control and measurement systems. This is the goal of the cross-border project Cross Water, of which the Puglia Region (as lead partner) and the Apulian Aqueduct are part with Molise Region, the Municipality of Tirana, the Tirana Water and Wastewater Utility (UKT) and the Montenegrin Regional Aqueduct (PE RWMC).
The press conference on the official start of the project will be held on Thursday 17 in Bari (10.30 am / Di Jeso room - 1st floor Palazzo Presidenza Regione Puglia / Lungomare Nazario Sauro, 33).
The conference will open with the institutional greetings of Raffaele Piemontese (vice president of the regional council and also councilor for Water Resources and Water Protection) and Crescenzo Antonio Marino (Puglia Region - Management Authority of the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro Program).
Andrea Zotti (project manager for the Puglia Region - Budget, General Affairs and Infrastructure Department, Water Resources Section) will explain the objectives and activities of the project. The Apulian pilot initiative, which will concern the AQP plants in Monopoli and Sammichele di Bari, will instead be studied in depth by Gianfredi Mazzolani (project manager of the Pugliese Aqueduct - Coordination and Technical Development Project / COSSV structure).
