On June 7, 2022, the 4th Meeting of the Steering Committee of the CrossWater Project was organized by the Municipality of Tirana. The meeting was attended by partners and the project leader from the IPA CBC Program areas.
Mr. Genci Kojdheli, General Director of Integration, Strategic Planning and Economic Development in the Municipality of Tirana, I welcome the partners and also introduced the policies of the Municipality of Tirana for the management of the system of distribution and supply of water to the citizens of Tirana and the approach of the Municipality of Tirana for European Union programs. During the meeting, the representative of the Main Partner reflected the situation of project implementation, the progress of each work package as well as the project implementation plan until December 2022. Part of the discussion was also the communication package and promotion of the project. The project partners took their commitment to meet the project objectives on time as well as to overcome the effects of the pandemic on the project.
The CrossWater project aims to create an efficient and effective transboundary Water Management System in the Program area, through the joint development of new infrastructures and technologies, as well as new control and measurement systems. Part of the project is the drafting of an Integrated Transboundary Plan and a Joint Policy Document for the Water Management System. Four pilot initiatives focused on water resources, protection and optimization of water supply management, are in the process of implementation in the areas of Apulia, Molise, Albania and Montenegro.

Më 7 Qershor 2022, u organizua nga Bashkia Tiranë, Mbledhja e 4-rt e Komitetit Drejtues të Projektit CrossWater. Në takim morën pjesë partnerët dhe udhëheqësi i projektit nga zonat e Programit IPA CBC.
Z. Genci Kojdheli Drejtor i Përgjithshëm i Integrimit, Planifikimit Strategjik dhe Zhvillimit Ekonomik në Bashkinë e Tiranësju uroj mirëseardhjen partnerëve si dhe bëri të njohur për tapolitikat e Bashkisë Tiranë për menaxhimin të sistemit të shpërndarjes dhe furnizimit me ujëtë qytetarëve të Tiranëssi dhe qasjen e Bashkisë Tiranë për programet e Bashkimit Evropian. Gjatë takimit, përfaqësuesi i Partnerit kryesor pasqyroi situatën e zbatimit të projektit, ecurinë e çdo pakete pune si dhe planin e implementatimit të projektit deri në Dhjetor 2022. Pjesë e diskutimit ishte edhe paketa e komunikimit dhe promovimi i projektit. Partnerët e projektit morën agazhimin e tyre për të përmbushur objektivat e projektit në kohë si dhe për të tejkaluar efektet e pandemisë në projekt.
Projekti CrossWater synon të krijojë një Sistem të Menaxhimit të Ujërave ndërkufitar efikas dhe efektiv në zonën e Programit, nëpërmjet zhvillimit të përbashkët të infrastrukturave dhe teknologjive të reja, si dhe sistemeve të reja të kontrollit dhe matjes. Pjesë e projektit është hartimi i një Plani të Integruar Ndërkufitar dhe një Dokument i Përbashkët i Politikave për Sistemin e Menaxhimit të Ujit. Katër nisma pilot të fokusuara në burimet ujore mbrojtjen dhe optimizimin e menaxhimit të furnizimit me ujë,janë në proces implementimi në zonat Pulia, Molise, Shqipëri dhe Mal të Zi.
